Syed Shakir is a Vice President at J.P. Morgan and his role as commercial
banker is solely focused on serving state and local governments in Michigan
and Indiana. Syed has extensive experience in banking and has been with J.P.
Morgan since 2018.
Syed previously worked at Independent Bank where he was AVP to the Chief
Risk Officer from 2015 to 2018. Prior to Independent Bank, Syed spent four
years at Hewlett-Packard in a corporate finance rotational program as a
Financial Analyst covering HP’s business with the U.S Federal Government
and Department of Defense from 2011 to 2015.
Syed holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting from the University of
Michigan and lives in Dearborn, Michigan.
